While searching for products that suits
oily skin, I found this creme from Fabindia. Although it is meant for
oily skin, it didn't helped with my too-oily skin. I urged (read
forced) my hubby to use it (YES, I can do that!!) so that I know
if it is of any good for normal skin. Unfortunately, he didn't
continued it, I couldn't see what could have been an effective
result on normal skin. Never mind, I'll tell you my share of experience with it.
Firstly, the packaging is NOT good
enough. A jar with a plastic cap inside and outside is not very easy
to use. The creme can get easily
collected at one side of the jar, when kept in a travel bag. So not
bag-friendly I'd say. And you have to dip your fingers in the
creme, every time you wanna use it
Dunno why the real color of jar couldn't get captured |
The smell is somewhat pleasing to me,
its like I am smelling a fruit salad or something. Fabindia's
products do have an earthy smell and I usually like them. This one's smell does not stay for long.
The creme is peachy pink in color and is
gel like consistency, though a little runny than gels. It feels light on skin.
It does not leave a shiny look on the
skin, but doesn't help with oil secretion afterwards. At least in my
case, it didn't.
No sheen for good |
Price is decent. A 180 bucks for a
fabindia creme is fair enough.
The Good:
'Fabindia' (Coz I like and promote rural craftsmanship, although this product has nothing to do with it)
Price
Doesn't make skin look oily
Smell
The Bad:
Packaging is a little unhygienic
Doesn't have SPF, which is a MUST for me.
In a nutshell:
Consistency: 3/5
Smell: 3.5/5
Longevity: 2.5/5
Anything special: Naa
Rating : B
Recommended for those who have normal to oily skin that is prone to becoming oily during summers and humid monsoon. Not meant for people like me, who have extremely oily skin (esp during monsoons).
