We all love colors and colors influence our moods too. I remember a friend of mine saying that there are fixed days for particular colors and if you wear those colors on their day, then you'll experience hell lot of difference in your life. How Dramatic!
Anyways, why to limit yourself. I experiment a lot with colors and so here is a tool for you if you love playing with colors too.
It's called the Color Wheel. It is actually a representation of all the colors and their relationship among each other. Yup, Colors have relationships too you know.
There are few technical terms attached to it too, like spectrum, wavelength etc, but I won't bore you any of that.
Colors that are placed adjacent to each other in the Wheel are known to be analogous to each other and those that are placed opposite are Complementary to each other.
This huge rage of Color Blocking started last year. It is, technically, using two opposite colors together. I did it too. I wore a purple legging and a green kurta over it and got the compliment 'You look like a Baingan (Brinjal)'. That's when I first learned this color wheel thing and then went color blocking. Since then I've never been compared to any other vegetable.
Never go color blocking your outfit and make-up at the same time. Also, when color blocking, be very careful with the use of colors, or you may end up looking like a.......mmmm.......Baingan!! hahaha.
