Pretty little secret of makeup: Contouring

Have you ever observed how sometimes even the most expensive products fail to create a gorgeous look and somehow end up making one's face look FLAT. Its because most of us are unaware of the concept called Contouring. It is actually a very smart trick to make the face look more alive and makeup more natural.

Contouring helps make certain features stand out and a prominent cheek bone too. The tools are a darker shade foundation/eye shadow or a bronzer as it is usually a shade darker to your skin tone, blush and a highlighter.

Firstly take the bronzer and apply it below the apple of your cheeks, blending it upward towards the ears. This will make your cheek bones pop up. Then on the sides of your nose from the bridge straight down. This will make your nose appear longer and thinner. Then if you have a round face then apply bronzer underon your jaw line and under the chin as well.

Next you take the blush and apply it just above bronzer on your cheeks.

Finally take the highlighter. You can use it according to the look you want to create. If you want to highlight your pout, apply it to the bottom and top of your lips. Applying on the tip of the nose will and brow bones is also good. If you want extra glow on your face, apply it to the apples of your cheeks over the blush.
